Antioch Community Consolidated School District 34 recently issued the following announcement.
Over the past year, the District has been carefully watching enrollment as well as housing developments in our boundaries. Due to the increased enrollment and acceleration of future growth in the Clublands neighborhood, the Board of Education took action at the February 19, 2019 Board of Education meeting to adjust the boundaries between Oakland Elementary School and Hillcrest Elementary School for the 2019-2020 school year.
The district has been working with a company called Decision Insight to look at several adjustments to the original boundary scenario based on their new population projections. The scenarios were reviewed by Administration and discussed at the Board of Education meetings in December and January.
View a Map of the Adjusted Boundaries and interact with our online School Locator to find out which school your family will attend in the 2019-2020 school year. In addition, schools will post a new map of the future school boundaries.
Please note that these new boundaries will NOT affect our Early Learning Program, K-5 Structured Learning Program, or the K-5 Learning Opportunities Program students. These programs will be located at the following schools beginning in the 2019-2020 school year:
- Early Learning Program (EC/PreK) - Antioch Elementary School
- K-5 Structured Learning Program (SLP) - Hillcrest Elementary School
- K-5 Learning Opportunities Program (LOP) - Oakland Elementary School
