The campaign committee of state senator 29th district candidate Benjamin D Salzberg, Citizens for Benjamin Salzberg, returned a $5,000 contribution from Benjamin Salzberg on Nov. 29, according to the Illinois State Board of Elections.

Candidates sometimes refuse or return contributions because they do not want their campaign to be affiliated with the donor. Salzberg has not made any other contributions to Benjamin D Salzberg in the past 12 months.
