Berwyn city clerk candidate Thomas G Shaughnessy returns $2,000 contribution from Thomas Shaughnessy

The campaign committee of Berwyn city clerk candidate Thomas G Shaughnessy, Friends of Thomas G Shaughnessy, returned a $2,000 contribution from Thomas Shaughnessy on Oct. 5, according to the Illinois State Board of Elections.

Candidates sometimes refuse or return contributions because they do not want their campaign to be affiliated with the donor. Shaughnessy has not made any other contributions to Thomas G Shaughnessy in the past 12 months.
