The price of local government in 2017: City of Waukegan

The City of Waukegan budget was $148.74 million for its 2017 fiscal year.

That's a decrease of 4.1 percent from 2016, when the city spent $155.10 million.

Waukegan has a population of 88,182.

Since 2001, the City of Waukegan budget has grown by 31.2 percent, from $113.34 million. The city population has grown 0.3 percent over the same period, from 87,901.
