North Chicago home prices rise in the second quarter of 2017

The median sale price of a home sold in the second quarter of 2017 in North Chicago rose by $27,400 while total sales remained unchanged with 29 homes sold, according to BlockShopper.com.

From April through June of 2017, there were 29 homes sold, with a median sale price of $69,900 - a 64.5% increase over the $42,500 median sale price for the same period of the previous year. There were 29 homes sold in North Chicago in the second quarter of 2016, as well.

The median sales tax in North Chicago for 2017 was $2,173.34. In 2016, the median sales tax was $2,262.60. This marks an decrease of 3.9%. The effective property tax rate, using the median property tax and median home sale price as the basis, is 3.1%.
