The following action was taken on Feb. 26 in the House on House bill HB3021 ("$iema-security improvements"): "Assigned to Appropriations-Public Safety Committee."

The bill, as it was introduced in the House by Rep. Yehiel M. Kalish (D-16) on Feb. 15, "appropriates $ 30,000,000 from the General Revenue Fund to the Illinois Emergency Management Agency for grants, on an emergency basis, to at-risk not-for-profit organizations for eligible security improvements that assist the organization in preventing, preparing for, or responding to acts of terrorism" and "effective immediately," according to the General Assembly website.

The following house representatives also co-sponsored the bill: Jonathan Carroll (D-57), Kelly M. Cassidy (D-14), John C. D'Amico (D-15), Daniel Didech (D-59), Sara Feigenholtz (D-12), Robyn Gabel (D-18), Jennifer Gong-Gershowitz (D-17), Will Guzzardi (D-39), Elizabeth Hernandez (D-24), Bob Morgan (D-58) and Martin J. Moylan (D-55).
