Q3 2018 Recap: Parolees in Waukegan convicted of crimes against persons

There were five offenders convicted of crimes against persons released on parole in Waukegan during the third quarter, according to Illinois Department of Corrections data obtained by the Lake County Gazette.

The data shows that four men and one woman were among the parolees. The median age of the parolees sentenced for crimes against persons was 37. The youngest parolee was a 21-year-old man sentenced in 2017, and the oldest was a 53-year-old man sentenced in 2016.

The offender who was incarcerated the longest was David J. Trahan. He was convicted of a crime against a person in 2015 when he was 48 years old. He is now 51.

Under state law, paroled offenders are still in legal custody of the IDOC, meaning they can be taken back to a correctional center at any time if the state has probable cause or a warrant.

The table below shows the 50 cities in Illinois with the most paroled offenders in Q3 2018 who were convicted of crimes against persons.
