The data shows that the seven released offenders living in the Vernon Hills zip code were men. The median age of the parolees was 31. The youngest parolee was a 20-year-old man convicted of a crime involving drugs in 2018, and the oldest was a 46-year-old man convicted of a property crime in 2017.
The offender who had been incarcerated the longest was Igor Kazakovs. He was convicted of a crime involving alcohol in 2005, when he was 22 years old. He is now 36.
Under state law, paroled offenders are still in legal custody of the IDOC, meaning they can be taken back to a correctional center at any time if the state has probable cause or a warrant.
