Shutterstock 63364468

City of Lake Forest recently issued the following announcement.

The project is going very well, on time and within budget, thanks to many donors who contributed to this important public-private partnership.

  • 25,000 cubic yards of stone were used to build the new "bluff"
  • 500 linear feet of drain piping was installed near the top of the existing slope
  • 600 linear feet of sanitary pipe was installed under the new road
Through September, the project will involve:

  • Installing a new storm sewer connection
  • Final grading of the embankment and installing topsoil
  • Paving the parking lot
  • Installing the concrete road, curb and new wooden guard rail
Concurrently, the City is working on the ravine restoration to the immediate north of the North Beach Access Road.

Updates are provided at each City Council meeting, which are held on the first and third Mondays of the month.  You may livestream meetings or view them on the City's YouTube channel, EnjoyLakeForest.
