A trio of Springfield lawmakers from both parties are joining forces Tuesday night to help Lake County residents deal with the issue of Illinois' runaway property taxes.
State Reps. Tom Weber (R-Lake Villa), Sam Yingling (D-Grayslake) and Joyce Mason (D-Gurnee) are all slated to take part in a free Lake County property tax appeal seminar at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday at the Lake Villa Township West Campus, 37850 N. Route 59. The group will be joined by Lake Villa Township Assessor Jeffrey Lee.
Organizers are urging area residents to bring a valid ID and their latest property tax bill if they have questions about how they might go about appealing it.
