Illinois State House District 59 issued the following announcement on July 28
At my first youth advisory council meeting we discussed many issues important to young people in our community: fighting climate change, promoting gun safety, investing in higher education, and opposing Donald Trump’s disgraceful treatment of immigrants. I will be introducing legislation proposing several of their ideas to the General Assembly. We are fortunate to have so many bright young leaders who are committed to the future of Illinois.
