Illinois State Senate District 32 issued the following announcement on Nov. 20.
Residents looking for a convenient way to obtain services from the Secretary of State’s Office are encouraged to stop by their Mobile Unit at Algonquin Township on Tuesday, December 3. State Senators Dan McConchie (R-Hawthorn Woods), Don DeWitte (R-St. Charles), and Craig Wilcox (R-McHenry) are teaming up to bring the SOS Mobile Unit to Crystal Lake as a convenience to residents.
The event, which was originally scheduled for November 5, has been rescheduled for:
WHEN: Tuesday, December 3, 2019 from 10:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m.
WHERE: Algonquin Township, 3702 U.S. Highway 14, Crystal Lake, IL 60014
The mobile unit operates similar to a DMV office and offers services that include driver’s licenses renewals, identification cards, license plate stickers, organ donor registration, and free ID cards for seniors.
Servicemen and women can also receive the “veteran” designation on their driver’s licenses and ID cards, but they must bring their DD-214 or NAF 13038.
Real ID’s will not be available and can only be obtained at a full service facility.
