City of Lake Forest recently issued the following announcement.
The Chicago Bears announced on January 14 that the team will hold its entire training camp at Halas Hall, the team’s training facility in Lake Forest, beginning with the 2020 season. Additional details regarding the 2020 training camp schedule and free public tickets will be available later this spring.
“We will host training camp practices at Halas Hall in 2020, while maintaining a public component to many of the sessions to incorporate our loyal and passionate fans,” said Chicago Bears President & CEO Ted Phillips. “Olivet Nazarene University continues to be a valued and committed partner, but with the recent investment in our campus expansion and state-of-the-art facilities in Lake Forest, we feel it is important to stay home for training camp. We would like to thank Olivet Nazarene University, including President John Bowling, and the Bourbonnais community for their 18 years of partnership and hospitality.”
Why is Bears training camp moving to Halas Hall?
The many recent renovations to our Halas Hall campus ensure the club has a state-of-the-art facility and gives the team an elite training center in Lake Forest that cannot be replicated anywhere else. The ability to continue to allow fans to attend practices was also an important determining factor.
Will Bears training camp return to ONU next year or in the future?
Training camp will remain at Halas Hall for the foreseeable future.
When will open practice dates be announced?
Similar to years past, additional details regarding the 2020 training camp schedule and limited free public tickets will be available later this spring after the Bears' 2020 regular season schedule has been announced by the NFL.
Will fans still be able to get player autographs after practice?
While never guaranteed, fans in attendance will have the opportunity for player autographs throughout camp.
Is this a ticketed event?
Yes, a limited number of free tickets will be available to attend training camp sessions.
How can I get tickets?
Additional details regarding free public tickets will be available later this spring.

How many NFL teams hold training camp at their home practice facilities?
