Illinois State House District 53 issued the following announcement on June 4
The constituent service offices of state Rep. Mark Walker, D-Arlington Heights, and state Sen. Ann Gillespie, D-Arlington Heights, will reopen for appointments on Monday, June 8.
“We remain committed to providing residents with the help and services they need, especially during these difficult times,” Walker and Gillespie said. “Being accessible to residents is important to us, which is why we will be taking in-person appointments, but also continue to meet with constituents virtually or by phone.”
Following social distancing and prevention guidelines from the Illinois Department of Public Health, visitors will be required to wear a face covering when social distancing is not possible unless they have a medical reason not to do so. Face coverings and gloves will be available to visitors who do not have them. Additionally, while walk-ins will not be turned away, they will be let in only if capacity is available. The offices will also undergo frequent cleaning to protect the health and safety of visitors and staff.
Walker and Gillespie closed their joint office on March 16 as a precaution against the spread of COVID-19. Their office is located at 120 W. Eastman St., Suite 207 in Arlington Heights.
