Analysis: Wauconda pays $3.89 for every $1 pensioners contribute to Wauconda Police Pension Fund

Taxpayers contributed 80.1 percent of the $1,148,232 the Wauconda Police Pension Fund brought in 2018, or $3.89 for every $1 from pension members, according to a Lake County Gazette analysis of the latest data reported to the Illinois Department of Insurance Pension Division.

In all, Wauconda contributed $919,462 to the fund, which saw a $32,737 increase in revenue over 2017. Members contributed $236,313, or 20.6 percent, in 2018.
