Analysis: Round Lake Beach pays $2.17 for every $1 pensioners contribute to Round Lake Beach Police Pension Fund

Taxpayers contributed 66.7 percent of the $1,753,057 the Round Lake Beach Police Pension Fund brought in 2018, or $2.17 for every $1 from pension members, according to a Lake County Gazette analysis of the latest data reported to the Illinois Department of Insurance Pension Division.

In all, Round Lake Beach contributed $1,169,546 to the fund, which saw a $339,340 increase in revenue over 2017. Members contributed $537,751, or 30.7 percent, in 2018. Another $45,760 came from other unspecified sources.
