Analysis: Long Grove pays $2.65 for every $1 pensioners contribute to Long Grove Firefighters Pension Fund

Taxpayers contributed 73 percent of the $537,114 the Long Grove Firefighters Pension Fund brought in 2018, or $2.65 for every $1 from pension members, according to a Lake County Gazette analysis of the latest data reported to the Illinois Department of Insurance Pension Division.

In all, Long Grove contributed $392,023 to the fund, which saw a $61,766 increase in revenue over 2017. Members contributed $147,756, or 27.5 percent, in 2018.
