Analysis: Lake Zurich pays $4.87 for every $1 pensioners contribute to Lake Zurich Police Pension Fund

Taxpayers contributed 83.1 percent of the $2,191,502 the Lake Zurich Police Pension Fund brought in 2018, or $4.87 for every $1 from pension members, according to a Lake County Gazette analysis of the latest data reported to the Illinois Department of Insurance Pension Division.

In all, Lake Zurich contributed $1,820,234 to the fund, which saw a $105,015 increase in revenue over 2017. Members contributed $373,412, or 17 percent, in 2018.
