Analysis: Lake Forest pays $4.41 for every $1 pensioners contribute to Lake Forest Firefighters Pension Fund

Taxpayers contributed 81.7 percent of the $1,602,291 the Lake Forest Firefighters Pension Fund brought in 2018, or $4.41 for every $1 from pension members, according to a Lake County Gazette analysis of the latest data reported to the Illinois Department of Insurance Pension Division.

In all, Lake Forest contributed $1,308,348 to the fund, which saw a $110,729 increase in revenue over 2017. Members contributed $296,202, or 18.5 percent, in 2018.
