Grant Community High School District 124 recently issued the following announcement.
In place of our traditional Back to School Night, we will be hosting a virtual Meet the Teacher Night on Wednesday, September 16 at 7:00 pm. This event provides you with the opportunity to learn about your student's classroom teachers, understand expectations, and make a connection with the Grant community.
Our virtual Meet the Teacher event will be in the form of an interactive presentation that will be published on our website ( www.grantbulldogs.org ). This presentation will be accessible throughout the course of the school year under the “Headlines” section. All certified, and select non-certified staff, will be recording one 5-10 minute presentation introducing themselves, their role, and course information.
Once the presentation is live for all community stakeholders, you will be able to select your student's teachers from a list and view their video. After you are done viewing a teacher's video, you can select the “Teacher Home” icon on the left-hand side of your screen. This will direct you back to the list of teachers. Once you have finished viewing videos of your student's teachers, you can select either the “Student Services” or “Non-Certified Staff” icon. The process for viewing videos from Students Services and Non-Certified Staff will mirror the process of watching videos from your student's teachers.
We know that this may sound a little confusing at first, but once you jump into the presentation, it will be an easy process to follow. Remember that your student's teachers are always open and available for questions regarding assignments, grades, student progress, engagement, etc. Please refer to our website for all teacher contact information.

All staff with a professional title, and some non-professional staff members, will record five to ten minute presentations introducing themselves, their role, and course information.
Once the presentation is live for all stakeholders in the community, they will be able to select their children's teachers from a list and watch their videos. The process for viewing the videos on services for students and non-certificated staff will be the same as the process for viewing the videos of your children's teachers.
We know this may sound a bit confusing at first, but once you get into the presentation, it will be an easy process to follow. Remember that your child's teachers are always open and available to answer questions about assignments, grades, student progress, participation, and more.
