Gurnee Park District issued the following announcement on Feb 22.
Christine Thompson Park (Woodlawn Ave. and Belle Plaine Ave.) is a great place for winter FUN in Gurnee. There is plenty of snow to head out to the sled hill!
Please review sled hill safety protocols, prior to visiting. We ask that all sled hills guests practice social distancing and wear a mask at all times.
When sledding, be cautious of others and make sure the hill is clear of others. We also ask that no ramps are created on the sled hill.
To return to the top of the hill, walk to the top of the sled hill along the fences to avoid collisions.
Additional information about our sled hill at Christine Thompson Park:
- Sled hill closes at 8:00 pm
- Sled hill is not supervised, use at your own risk
- Children under 12 must be supervised
- Proper sleds must be used, no snowboards
