Lake Zurich Community Unit School District 95 recently issued the following announcement.
Authors-in-Residence will present via Zoom to elementary and middle school students. Generously sponsored by the District 95 Educational Foundation.
From April 19th-21st, District 95 will welcome Carmen Agra Deedy and Kari Ann Holt as our authors in residence. They will join our elementary and middle school students remotely for a Zoom presentation. This event has been made possible by the generous support of the D95 Educational Foundation.
Carmen Agra Deedy is an award-winning author of twelve books for children. She is a popular storyteller and accomplished lecturer. Many of her stories come from her childhood as a Cuban refugee living in Decatur, GA. Deedy’s work has received a number of awards including the prestigious Pura Belpre Medal. Kari Anne Holt is the award-winning author of many middle grade novels-in-verse.
