Dear Barrington 220 Community:
At the beginning of this school year I launched a new video series called "Dr. Hunt OutFront". The series highlights Barrington 220 staff members who go above and beyond to improve the student experience, as well as our exceptional students. The focus of the video series relates to our theme for the 2021-22 school year, which is #SeetheStudent220.
I am excited to share with you the fifth episode in which I had the opportunity to get to know Jill Schweiger, a first grade teacher at Hough Street Elementary. Mrs. Schweiger started working in Barrington 220 in 1996 as a first grade and kindergarten teacher at Arnett C. Lines Elementary. She went on to serve as an Assistant Principal at Prairie Middle School and the Principal of Lines Elementary, before she decided to return to the classroom at Hough in 2015.
In addition to her teaching responsibilities, Mrs. Schweiger serves as a mentor to new teachers. She also serves on the district’s Assessment/Standards-Based Grading Committee.
I want to thank Mrs. Schweiger for her commitment to always #SeetheStudent220. Please view the video by clicking the link below.
