Lots of kids don’t know their parents are dead. Other survivors don’t know what happened or can’t find their family members. We’re operating and consulting, but barely scratching the surface.”Samer Attar, MD, a Northwestern Medicine orthopaedic surgeon, is in Syria providing emergency surgical care after two powerful earthquakes devastated the area on February 6.
