Representative McLaughlin recently expressed concern over the upcoming fiscal cliff in the FY25 budget. He stated, "This proposed budget is not balanced. The Governor only identifies it as balanced, which doesn’t make it real no matter how much his minions doth protest."
According to COGFA, the nonpartisan oversight finance committee, the Governor will need to raise taxes by over $1 billion by the end of the session to align current budget and revenue estimates with his proposal demands.
