City of Highwood Committee of the Whole met April 16

Here are the minutes provided by the committee:

CALL TO ORDER by Mayor Pecaro at 6:06 P.M.

1. Roll Call

Present: Aldermen Levi, Slavin, Falberg, Fiore, Peterson and Hospodarsky

Also Present: City Manager Coren, Assistant to the City Manager Facchini, City Attorney Jablecki and Administrative Assistant Litjens

2. Public Hearing

3. Review of Minutes to be Approved :

3.1. City Council: April 02, 2024

3.2. Committee of the Whole: April 02, 2024

3.1 and 3.2 will be approved as presented at the regular City Council meeting.

4. Appointments

5. Review of Bill Warrant List

5.1. 04/16/2024 AP Warrant List

5.1 will be approved at the regular City Council meeting.

6. Unfinished Business

7. New Busines s

7.1 A Proclamation Expressing the City of Highwood’s Appreciation for Pete Sirotti’s Service to the Community.

Mayor Pecaro will present the proclamation at the regular City Council meeting.

7.2 Consideration of the Planning and Zoning Commission’s Recommendation to Deny the Appeal of the Zoning Administrator’s Decision Regarding 140 Morgan Place.

The recommendation to deny the appeal will be approved as presented at the regular City Council meeting.

7.3 Consideration of a Motion Authorizing the City Manager to Accept a Proposal from Scopelliti Landscaping for the 2024 Season in an Amount not to Exceed $30,000.

This will be approved at the regular City Council meeting.

7.4 Consideration of a Motion Agreeing to an Amended Fee Structure for Klein, Thorpe & Jenkins Legal Fees.

This will be approved at the regular City Council meeting.

7.5 Consideration of a Motion Authorizing the City Manager to Accept an Agreement with the Lakota Group to Provide Planning Support Services to the City of Highwood.

This will be approved at the regular City Council meeting.

7.6 An Update on the Water Service Line Material Inventory and Initial Lead Service Line Replacement Program.

Assistant to the City Manager Facchini presented the City’s initial lead service line replacement program.

10. Adjournment moved by Alderman Hospodarsky and seconded by Alderman Peterson to adjourn the meeting. All present voting aye, by voice vote, motion carried. Mayor Pecaro adjourned the meeting at 7:18 P.M.
