Brad Schneider, representing the 10th District of Illinois in the U.S. House of Representatives, said community is importance of, highlighting the district's diversity and underscoring the crucial role of local businesses, schools, and public services in strengthening towns and benefiting the state and nation. Schneider was on a recent episode of the Lake Forest podcast.
"It's really about community," said Schneider on the Lake Forest podcast. "The 10th district goes from Wilmette, just north of, northwestern, but all the way up to the Wisconsin border. We have the northern slice of Lake County. We've got Nutria Township, Winnetka, Wilmette, Kenilworth, and Glencoe. We have Northbrook, we have Wheeling, and we have probably 75% of Lake County in the 10th district, and we picked up the northeast corner of McHenry County."
“What I believe and what inspired me to run in the very first place is I believe the stronger our communities are, which includes the local businesses, and local businesses are the ones who are sponsoring the Little League, soccer, baseball, and football teams,” said Schneider. “It includes our schools and education and includes our fire and police. All that makes the community and the stronger our communities are, the stronger our towns will be, and the better our state will be. And ultimately, that's good for the nation."
