Brad Schneider, representing the 10th District of Illinois in the U.S. House of Representatives, said he introduced legislation addressing international financing prevention and coordinated air defense in the Middle East, emphasizing successful collaboration in countering an Iranian missile and drone attack against Israel. Schneider was on a recent episode of the Lake Forest podcast.
"In my first term, I introduced, with Mark Meadows of all people, the Hizbollah International Financing Prevention Act, which ultimately became law," said Schneider on the Lake Forest podcast. "I've worked within the Abraham Accords caucus, in which I'm one of the co-founders and co-chairs that introduced the Defend Act, which talks about a coordinated air defense within the Middle East.”
“While we introduced that a few years ago, you want to see the impact of those ideas, you saw several weeks ago when Iran launched 350 missiles at Israel, that that launch of 170 drones, 30 ballistic missiles, more than 130 cruise missiles, more than 100 ballistic missiles, that was completely defeated,” said Schneider. “Completely defeated, because Israel, the United States, United Kingdom, but also Jordan, Saudi Arabia, and UAE worked together with air defense and prevented any of Iran's missiles and drones from reaching their targets.”
