Jim Carris, Illinois 10th District Republican Candidate, said many people are stepping up to run for office due to dissatisfaction with the Democrat-controlled government, and these like-minded individuals are coalescing to make decisions based on common sense and compassion. Carris was on a recent episode of the Lake Forest podcast.
"What I think you're seeing now is a lot of people coming off the bench," said Carris on the Lake Forest podcast. "You're seeing Mary College, state's attorney Ben Graham running for county board. You're seeing a variety of others coming off the bench, like Task For Dokey, who's a housewife who runs her own business and is now running for state legislature. You're seeing so many different people now getting involved because things have gotten so bad with the Democrat-controlled government and Democrat-controlled Congress.”
“What you're seeing is that we're all coalescing together because we're like-minded,” said Carris. “We're independent, we're all based on common sense. We're going to make our decisions based on common sense, and we all have a level of compassion as well. That's something that I think is needed now."
