On February 12, 2025, the Mundelein Park & Recreation District issued an update concerning evening programming and facility operations due to a winter storm.

The Musical Theatre: Grease is the Word Showcase has been canceled for this evening. Participants will be notified separately about a rescheduled session.

At Keith Mione Community Park Ice Rink, snowfall management responsibilities may delay ice rink maintenance over the next 24-48 hours. It is anticipated that the ice will be ready for use by Friday.

The district said: "As we monitor the winter storm, we are dedicated to keeping you informed about any potential changes or closures affecting our programs and facilities. "

Currently, all facilities except the Regent Center are expected to operate as usual on Wednesday, February 12. Programs, including Rec Connect After School Care, will proceed according to regular schedules.

Due to forecasted snowfall, the Regent Center will close early with Active Adult programming canceled after 12:30 pm. However, Mundelein School of Dance programs at the Regent Center will continue as scheduled this evening.

The district said it would "continue to monitor weather conditions closely" and release a follow-up communication at 2 pm with any further developments or adjustments.

Residents are encouraged to stay updated via the district's website, Facebook page, and Rainout Line. Registration for email and text message updates regarding closures and delays is available through the "Email & Text Alerts" link on their webpage.
