Village of Riverwoods receives APWA Project of the Year Award | Village of Riverwoods
The Village of Riverwoods and Gewalt Hamilton Associates, Inc. (GHA) have been honored with the American Public Works Association (APWA) Project of the Year Award in the category of Disaster or Emergency Less Than $5 Million.
The award acknowledges the engineering and construction of a watermain bypass by GHA following repeated watermain breaks in 2023 on Deerfield Road near Elevate Care. The new section of the watermain allows for isolation of breaks, protecting non-affected areas.
