Illinois 5Essentials Survey | Coal City Community Unit School District 1
Parents encouraged to participate in anonymous survey
The Illinois 5Essentials Survey is now open for parents to take. This anonymous survey aims to gather feedback on current successes and areas for improvement within schools. According to the announcement, "We guarantee that survey responses will never be connected to the identity of you or your student. " School reports will only present aggregated information reflecting how parents and students responded collectively.
Parent participation in the survey is intended to help schools understand students' overall experiences and guide future improvements. The statement reiterated, "Your identity and individual survey responses will be kept completely confidential and will never be connected to you or your child. "
Teachers and all students from fourth through twelfth grade across Illinois are also participating in the 5Essentials Survey. These research-based reports will be sent to schools and districts in March and included in the State School Report Card, which is released statewide in the fall.
Parents can access the survey at https://survey.5-essentials.org/Illinois/. It takes approximately five minutes to complete.
For any questions regarding the survey, parents are encouraged to contact their student's principal.
