American Underground, LLC is set to perform sanitary sewer televising of sanitary sewer mains in parts of the Village. This initiative aims to proactively assess the condition of the sewers and identify necessary repairs or replacements before emergencies occur.
The process employs a robotic camera driven through the sewer to provide a visual inspection of the interior of the pipe. Early detection of defects and appropriate planning for corrective action can help avoid sanitary sewer overflows, basement backups, and untimely service interruptions for residents.
Work is scheduled to begin the week of March 17, 2025, with completion expected by the end of April 2025. Affected residents will be notified by letter.
Televising will be completed along IL Route 176 / W Liberty Street near Anderson Road and include the subdivisions of Saddlewood, Aspen Grove, and Oak Grove as indicated on a provided map.
