American Underground, LLC is set to conduct sanitary sewer televising in parts of the Village. This initiative aims to proactively assess the condition of sewer mains and identify necessary repairs or replacements before emergencies occur. The process involves using a robotic camera to visually inspect the interior of the pipes.
According to the announcement, "Early detection of defects and the appropriate planning of corrective action for the sewers can help in avoiding sanitary sewer overflows, basement backups, and untimely service interruptions for our residents."
The work is scheduled to commence during the week of March 17, 2025, with completion expected by the end of April 2025. Residents affected by this project will receive notifications via letter.
The areas targeted for televising include IL Route 176 / W Liberty Street near Anderson Road and encompass subdivisions such as Saddlewood, Aspen Grove, and Oak Grove.
