On March 17, Lake Forest High School students debuted a new piece, bringing a young child's story to life through music. During their spring concert, the choir performed "Where Do the Colors Go? ", a song inspired by a book written by Sheridan Elementary kindergartener Lily Odlaug about her sister, 1st grader Anna, who has Dravet Syndrome, a rare form of epilepsy.
This project was made possible through ties to the Lake Forest community. Lily and Anna’s mother, Kim Odlaug, is an LFHS alum, as is the composer David Hamilton, who worked with students to transform Lily’s story into music. The project was also supported by the Sing Me a Story Foundation, co-founded by another LFHS graduate.
