Alongside the four new grants granted that day, two additional off-cycle grants were funded earlier in the year and have already been put into action. According to a press release, the Foundation relies on community donations and sponsorships for its Annual Spring Luncheon and Pitch Night to help fund educational programs.
The Lake Forest High School Foundation (LFHS) provides funding for educational initiatives at Lake Forest High School through grants supporting students, faculty, and staff. Since 2002, the foundation has awarded over 290 grants totaling more than $2.2 million for projects such as Makerspace, Business Incubator, and 21st-century learning labs. It works with teachers, students, and administrators to review grant applications and allocate resources. Funding is supported by community donations, local business partnerships, and events like the annual spring luncheon. Grants have contributed to technology upgrades, collaborative learning spaces, and various academic and extracurricular programs at the school.
Lake Forest High School was established in 1935 as a public secondary school in Lake Forest, Illinois, serving grades 9–12. Approximately 95% of its students pursue higher education, supported by personalized instruction and a collaborative school environment.
