It’s Paraprofessional Appreciation Day, a day designated to thank those who support teachers, assist students, and create an inclusive environment where every child has the ability to thrive.

Paraprofessionals work one-on-one with students, help in the classroom, and provide support for students in countless ways. The work they do to educate, support, and encourage students is invaluable.

“Your dedication and hard work does not go unnoticed,” said Coal City Early Childhood Center Principal Amanda Davidson and Assistant Principal Rebecca Pendergast. They added that paraprofessionals help make learning accessible and enjoyable for all students.

In observance of Paraprofessional Appreciation Day, preschool, kindergarten, and first-grade students joined together to say “thank you” and express just how much their teachers mean to them in a special video.
