ZSED 6 issued a statement expressing their appreciation for school libraries and library staff in honor of National School Library Day. The district acknowledged the pivotal role that school libraries play in providing students with access to knowledge, fostering creativity, and introducing new ideas.
"School libraries are at the heart of learning, providing students access to knowledge, creativity, and new ideas," the statement said.
The district also took the opportunity to commend its library staff for their dedication to fostering a love of reading and discovery among students.
"At ZESD 6, we appreciate the dedication of our library staff in fostering a love of reading and discovery," the statement read.
In addition, ZSED 6 emphasized the importance of creating an inclusive environment within its libraries.
"Thank you for making our libraries a welcoming space for all!" the statement concluded.
