D64 students display talents at Science Olympiad

Dr. Ben Collins Superintendent | Park Ridge-Niles School District 64

D64 students showcased their scientific talents at the Science Olympiad on April 5 at Emerson Middle School. A total of 118 fourth and fifth graders from across the district competed in events including Aerodynamics, Egg Drop, Mystery Box, Rubber Band Catapult, and Structures.

Below is a list of all the students who won first, second, and third-place medals:

AERODYNAMICS

- 1st Place: Carpenter - (Gr. 5) Brody S., Leon P., & James P.

- 2nd Place: Field - (Gr. 4) Joey K. & Jeff W.

- 3rd Place: Carpenter - (Gr. 4) Yuna L. & Kiera B.

EGG DROP

- 1st Place: Washington - (Gr. 5) Liam F., Jackson B., & Ian J. (11 feet)

- 2nd Place: Franklin - (Gr. 5 ) George S., Salvatore C., & Nathan S. (10 feet)

- 3rd Place: Field - (Gr. 4) Keegan M., August L., & Parker H. (9 feet)

MYSTERY BOX
