Collinsville Community Unit School District #10 has announced the outcomes of its Portrait of a Graduate and Strategic Planning committees. Beginning in January, a group comprising students, staff, parents, and community members formed these two key committees.

The Portrait of a Graduate committee focused on identifying essential skills and qualities for high school students. Simultaneously, the Strategic Planning committee worked to update the district’s mission and vision statements and establish goals guiding progress over the next five years.

The identified goals focus on:

- Student Success

- Student Support and Services

- Finances, Facilities, and Safety

- Extra-curricular Programs

- Staff Recruitment and Retention

- Family and Community Engagement

Superintendent Mark B. Skertich said that these committees' work would serve as a roadmap for the district's future. Specific actions will be developed to ensure these goals are met within five years, with annual updates provided.

Nearly 60 volunteers participated in this process. Their commitment was highly appreciated by Dr. Skertich who acknowledged both the progress made and the work still needed.
