The Illinois Park and Recreation Association is inviting the public to participate in its Unplug Illinois campaign. The initiative encourages individuals to disconnect from electronic devices and engage in activities that promote play, creativity, friendship, adventure, and family time.
An event will be held at Millennium Park on Saturday, July 12, from 10 AM to 12 PM. The event promises a variety of activities suitable for all ages. Attendees can enjoy yard games, sprinklers, kids' games sponsored by Raymond Chevrolet Kia, a bounce house, a giant slide, and the Jumping Jackpot. Face painting will also be available courtesy of Raymond Chevrolet Kia.
Additional attractions include a foam and bubbly party sponsored by Sweet Water Homes By KW and Orthodontic Specialists of Lake County. Cub Scout Pack 88 from Lake Villa will conduct a water rocket demonstration. Food options will be provided by Busing Brunch Bus food trucks.
All activities are free of charge due to the support of sponsors such as Sweet Water Homes By KW, Annie Sullivan Jumping Jackpot Orthodontic Specialists of Lake County, and title sponsor Raymond Chevrolet Kia of Antioch.
