Grayslake Community High School District 127 has announced an emergency training exercise at Central High School. The exercise will take place from Monday, July 21, to Friday, July 25. During this period, there will be increased activity by first responders around the school.

The full-scale drill is scheduled for Friday, July 25. On that day, Grayslake Central High School will be closed to facilitate the exercise.

This training is being conducted in collaboration with local law enforcement and emergency response agencies including the Grayslake Police Department, Grayslake Fire Protection District, and the North Region EMS Division. Residents can expect to see more emergency vehicles and personnel in the area during these dates.

The district emphasizes that this is only a drill and assures the community that there is no actual emergency. The training aims to improve preparedness and coordination for potential emergencies.

"We appreciate our community’s understanding and support as we continue to prioritize the safety and well-being of everyone in our schools."
