An eventful week concluded at New Trier's 8th Grade Problem Solving Camp, where participants engaged in a variety of creative and engineering challenges. Throughout the camp, students built devices such as ping pong launchers and egg-drop vehicles, as well as RC boats designed for speed and rescue missions. These activities emphasized the importance of iteration, testing, and teamwork.
Campers also conducted hands-on physics experiments, reimagined everyday objects, engineered automata toys and paper chains, and learned to solder digital clocks. The week ended with chain reactions powered by simple machines and circuitry, offering plenty of surprises.
Organizers expressed enthusiasm about the skills developed by the young innovators. They encouraged followers to check out @ntappliedarts1 for more updates from last week's camp and information on this week's 5th-8th Grade STEM Camp.
