Students at United Township High School received several announcements regarding upcoming events, academic opportunities, and club meetings for the week of August 18, 2025.

The cafeteria menu features an all-beef hot dog on a whole-grain bun, spicy chicken breast sandwich, oven baked French fries, mixed green salad, baked beans, and assorted fresh fruit.

Students interested in attending a musical event at the Adler Theatre in Davenport, Iowa on November 8 can obtain free tickets by contacting Mr. Davis, the College & Career Advisor.

The Armed Services Vocational Aptitude Battery (ASVAB) test will be administered at United Township High School on November 13. The ASVAB is used to assess aptitude for military service and to determine qualification for specific roles within the Armed Forces. The test consists of about 225 questions and takes approximately 150 minutes to complete. A minimum score of 31 is generally required to qualify for service. Practice resources are available through the U.S. Army ASVAB Challenge app or by consulting with school counselors or Mr. Davis.

Several student clubs have scheduled meetings this week. Latinos Unidos will meet after school on August 20 in room 256N; students may contact Mrs. Cantu with questions. Audition and crew applications for the fall play are now available via the Panther Players Google Classroom, with auditions set for Tuesday and Wednesday next week; inquiries can be directed to Mr. Greer or Mrs. Julia Jackson.

Gamer’s Club meets Friday from 3 to 5 p.m. in room 149N. Student Council has scheduled a meeting Friday morning at 7:30 a.m. in room 109S; voting for Homecoming themes closes today at 3:00 p.m.

United Township High School District 30 serves Rock Island and Henry counties and includes United Township High School as part of its district (https://www.illinoisreportcard.com/).
