The United Township High School District 30 has announced a range of activities and updates for students as the new school year begins. The daily lunch menu includes general chicken served with fried rice, vegetable egg rolls, Mikes cheese bites, mixed green salad, broccoli, and assorted fresh fruit.
Students interested in attending a musical event at the Adler Theatre in Davenport, Iowa on November 8 can contact Mr. Davis, the College & Career Advisor. Student tickets are available at no cost.
Guidance services include a visit from ISAC representative Ms. DeTombe, who will be at United Township today from 9 to 11:30 a.m. Students wishing to start their financial aid process can sign up in the Counseling Office.
Several student clubs have scheduled meetings this week and next. Latinos Unidos is holding its first meeting after school today in room 256N; questions can be directed to Mrs. Cantu. Gamer's Club will meet Friday from 3 to 5 p.m. in room 149N. Student Council will convene on Friday morning at 7:30 a.m. in room 109S.
The Interact Club’s first meeting is set for Wednesday, August 27 at 7:30 a.m. in Room 119C for those interested in volunteering and community service opportunities.
The LGBT+ Club is inviting students—whether members of the LGBT+ community or allies—to attend its first meeting on Tuesday, August 26 right after school in Miss Williams' room (125E). Information is also available via flyers around campus or directly from Miss Williams.
H.O.P.E. Club meets today from 3:15 to 5 p.m. in room 189V; questions can be directed to Ms. CJ in the Counseling Office.
Fosters Voice will hold its first meeting tomorrow at 7 a.m. in gym A; donuts will be provided.
