The United Township High School District 30 released its daily announcements for August 21, 2025, providing information on cafeteria offerings, parking rules, upcoming events, and club meetings.

Students were reminded that parking spots marked with yellow lines are reserved for staff. Student vehicles should be parked in spaces marked with white lines.

Opportunities for student involvement were highlighted. Those interested in attending a musical event at the Adler Theatre in Davenport, Iowa, on November 8 can obtain free tickets from Mr. Davis, the College & Career Advisor. Volunteer opportunities are available at Hampton Elementary School’s "Back to School Bash" on August 22 and at the Silvis Summer Fest Car Show on August 23. Students seeking community service hours are encouraged to contact Mr. Davis.

Several clubs announced meeting times. The Gamer's Club will meet Friday from 3 to 5 p.m. in room 149N. Student Council will hold a meeting Friday morning at 7:30 a.m. in room 109S. The Interact Club is scheduled to meet Wednesday, August 27 at 7:30 a.m. in room 119C and welcomes students interested in volunteering and community engagement.

The LGBT+ Club will host its first meeting of the year after school on Tuesday, August 26 in Miss Williams' room (125E). The club is open to members of the LGBT+ community as well as allies or any students looking to get involved.

The Panther Players reported a record turnout for fall play auditions this year and have added a third one-act play due to high participation levels. All cast and crew are asked to attend a meeting today at 3:30 p.m. in the auditorium; those unable to attend should email Mrs. Jackson and Mr. Greer.

United Township High School District 30 serves Rock Island and Henry counties and includes United Township High School within its jurisdiction (https://www.illinoisreportcard.com/). According to data from the Illinois State Board of Education, the district employs 96 teachers with an average salary of $65,666 before pension contributions; about half are women and half men, with no teacher exceeding ten absences per year (https://www.illinoisreportcard.com/).
