Coal City High School will hold its first College Admissions Night on Wednesday, August 27 at 7 p.m. The event will take place in the Coal City Performing Arts Center and is open to all students and families interested in pursuing college after graduation.
Admissions representatives Tyler Myers from Illinois State University and Faith Haley from the University of St. Francis are scheduled to speak about the college search and application process. Their presentation will cover topics such as financial aid and scholarships. Both representatives will be available for questions starting at 6:30 p.m.
"The goal is to help students and their families with the exciting and sometimes overwhelming process of applying to college," according to the school announcement.
Attendees have the option to preregister for the event, which allows them to submit questions or suggest discussion topics ahead of time. For further information, questions can be directed to Art Stafford via email.
