Collinsville Community Unit School District 10 has released its sixth annual State of the District Report, offering updates on several key areas such as communication, curriculum, facilities, finances, special education and health services, student support, and technology. The report aims to provide transparency about ongoing initiatives and projects throughout the district and to outline goals set by the Strategic Planning Committee.

The school district includes schools in Madison and St. Clair counties, representing Caseyville Elementary School, Collinsville High School, Collinsville Middle School, Dorris Intermediate School, Jefferson Elementary School, John A. Renfro Elementary School, Kreitner Elementary School, Maryville Elementary School, Summit Elementary School, Twin Echo Elementary School, and Webster Elementary School (https://www.illinoisreportcard.com/).

According to data from the Illinois State Board of Education (ISBE), Collinsville Community Unit School District 10 employs 418 teachers with an average salary of $60,392 before pension contributions. Of these teachers, 81 percent are women and 19 percent are men. There are no teachers in the district with more than ten absences in a school year (https://www.illinoisreportcard.com/). The district's student population is comprised of 56 percent White students, 14.1 percent Black students, 24.1 percent Hispanic students, and 0.5 percent Asian students (https://www.illinoisreportcard.com/). Superintendent Mark B. Skertich stated: "In our continued commitment to open and consistent communication with families and community members, we are pleased to share the sixth annual State of the District Report. This report provides updates on key areas including communication, curriculum, facilities, finances, special education and health services, student support, and technology."

He also said: "The State of the District Report highlights current initiatives and projects across the district as well as notable achievements. It is designed to support transparency and outline district goals established by the Strategic Planning Committee."

Skertich added: "As we prepare for the upcoming school year we remain dedicated to recognizing the accomplishments of our students and staff while continuously seeking ways to improve. Our priority is to deliver a high-quality education for all students in a safe and supportive environment even as we adapt to an ever-changing world."
