United Township High School announces daily updates including clubs and volunteer events

United Township High School District 30 has released its daily announcements for August 22, 2025, including information on lunch options, student reminders, club meetings, and volunteer opportunities.

Lunch offerings for the day include breaded chicken breast and BBQ beef rib sandwiches, mixed green salad, baby carrots, oven-baked French fries, and assorted fresh fruit.

Students are reminded that parking spots with yellow lines are reserved for staff. Student parking is available in spaces marked with white lines. Those interested in attending a musical event at the Adler Theatre in Davenport on November 8 can see Mr. Davis, College & Career Advisor, for free student tickets.

Volunteer opportunities are also available for the Silvis Summer Fest Car Show scheduled for August 23 from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Students interested in volunteering should contact Mr. Davis.

A softball meeting will be held on Tuesday, August 26 at 3:15 p.m. in the team room across from the weight room for students not involved in a fall sport. Questions can be directed to Coach Alonzo or Coach Tapia.

The Gamer's Club will meet today from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. in room 149N. The first Interact Club meeting is set for Wednesday, August 27 at 7:30 a.m. in Room 119C; students interested in community service are encouraged to attend.

The LGBT+ Club will hold its first meeting on Tuesday, August 26 after school in Miss Williams' room (125E). All students—including allies—are welcome to join or find more information by speaking with Miss Williams or using the QR codes posted around campus.

Fellowship of Christian Athletes (FCA) will meet this Tuesday at 7:20 a.m. in gym A; snacks will be provided and students are encouraged to bring friends.

United Township High School District 30 serves Rock Island and Henry counties and includes United Township High School within its jurisdiction (https://www.illinoisreportcard.com/).
