United Township High School District 30 has released its daily announcements for August 25, 2025. The information includes updates on cafeteria offerings, parking reminders, upcoming events, and opportunities for students.

For lunch, students can expect Chicken Alfredo with a whole grain garlic bread stick, Bosco sticks, broccoli, mixed green salad, baby whole carrots, and assorted fresh fruit.

Students are reminded that parking spots marked with yellow lines are reserved for staff. Student parking is available in spaces marked with white lines.

A musical event at the Adler Theatre in Davenport, Iowa is scheduled for Saturday, November 8, 2025 at 7:30 p.m. Students interested in attending can obtain free tickets by contacting Mr. Davis, the College & Career Advisor.

The school will offer the Armed Services Vocational Aptitude Battery (ASVAB) test on November 13, 2025. The ASVAB measures abilities in math, science, reading, and technical areas to help determine qualification for military service. The test consists of about 225 questions and takes approximately 150 minutes to complete. A minimum score of 31 is generally required to qualify for the Armed Services. Students can prepare using practice questions or by downloading the U.S. Army ASVAB Challenge app. Additional assistance is available from school counselors or Mr. Davis.

In sports news, a softball meeting will be held on Tuesday, August 26 at 3:15 p.m. in the team room across from the weight room for those not participating in a fall sport. Coaches Alonzo and Tapia are available to answer questions about fall workouts.

Club activities include the first Interact Club meeting on Wednesday, August 27 at 7:30 a.m. in Room 119 C for students interested in volunteering and community service opportunities.

The LGBT+ Club will hold its first meeting on Tuesday, August 26 after school in Miss Williams' room (125E). The club welcomes all students who are part of the LGBT+ community as well as allies and those seeking involvement. Information is available from Miss Williams or via QR codes posted near water fountains.

Additionally, the Fellowship of Christian Athletes (FCA) will meet tomorrow morning at 7:30 a.m. in gym A; snacks will be provided.
